107 Centralize Mentorship/Internship Program Information on a Website
Issue: Interpreters need more information about mentoring, internships and support opportunities.
Proposed Solution: Commission could centralize information on mentorships and internships in Minnesota. By centralizing information about mentorships and internships, prospective and currently working interpreters are able to identify opportunities for continued advancement in their careers.
Expected outcome: Quality of interpreting services could improve, and DDBHH consumers could experience greater quality and availability of interpreting services. Interpreters could have easier access to professional development. Availability of interpreting services could improve due to supports in place for interpreter development.
Who is impacted: Interpreters, both those new to the field and those who are experienced and seeking support
