67 MDE Partner with State Services Internship Grant for Greater Minnesota K12 Educational Interpreters

Issue: K12 settings in Greater Minnesota are struggling to fill interpreting positions with qualified individuals. State Services’ ASL Interpreting Student Internship for Greater Minnesota grant is seeking internship sites.

The vast majority of the 128 respondents supported advocating for school districts to hire interpreters who are receiving mentoring under the Greater Minnesota Internship Program. A small minority of respondents across all groups were neutral.
